"The Academy Weekly" Newlsetter

USAFA Parents,

I'm writing to inform you about a key change to next year's graduation timeline. Last week, after careful deliberations with USAFA leaders, we decided to move graduation day to Wednesday, 24 May 2017. The move is intended to provide more flexibility for summer activities like research,
training and professional development of the staff and the cadets, and free up Memorial Day weekend to celebrate with family and friends.

Graduation week activities will now begin 19 May, which means we'll have to adjust the Spring 2017 academic calendar. We will have the updated schedule out as soon as possible. I know this may affect travel plans so I wanted you to know as soon as possible.

Thank you for unwavering support of your cadets and our institution.
